It did not clearly show the new tax laws.

I've noticed that there was a big difference in my refund. I'd checked my prior year and saw that the exemptions were no longer allowed. Also, it did not prompt me for which would be best standard or itemize deductions. I had to flip back and forth to use the best deduction for me.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I have been using this product for approx 10 years and it has always worked well. This year I had a very unusual capital gains sale. While it took a long time to get to the "chat area". The response appears to have been correct and well explained.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

THE Best Tax Prep Software

I have used the H&R Block tax preparation package for several years (probably longer, actually), and it is simply the very best software for my needs. My wife and I are homeowners and have no business investments or rental properties. The H&R Block Deluxe software is perfect, especially for a senior citizen who is reasonably computer savvy, but not a "high-end" user. This software is extremely computer friendly, very intuitive, and far superior to a couple of the other name brands on the market that I have tried in the past, but which have not been nearly as good as H&R Block. This is the ONLY tax prep software I will use, and I very much appreciate the company's attention both to detail and to facilitating the ease of use. Great job, folks!!

Been using H&R Deluxe software for 5 or 6 years. Keeps everything on file for you and really simplifies the annual tax drudgery.
Pros: Easy to import documents

This is about my 20th year with H&R Block. Always professional, instructive and accurate. Senior citizen friendly.
