Filling out forms went smoothly with one exception. I need Arizona from 348, and for four years I have had to download it from the Arizona DoR website and fill it out independently of the software. This makes it impossible to file electronically and is inconvenient. Why can't you include this from in the program?
Also, I find it confusing when you provide updates as late as March 28. I don't know whether to file before this or not. There shouldn't be any udpates after March 1.
1) no CA e-file 2) Completed the Federal two weeks ago which included 3000 dollars in IRA contributions, and after running it through your check it said I owed the Fed 397 dollars. After completing the CA. State today, it said I now owe the Feds close 3,000 dollars. So after upping my IRA contributions to 6,500 dollars I now owe the Fed 1,984 dollars. I feel like something must be wrong with your product not to have caught that number when I was completing the federal return before even starting the state. Thus I have little faith in the accuracy of your software that may have resulted in an overpayment
2018 HR Block continues the terrific software. The feature of logging into your broker account to automatically fill out the details needed for a return saves so much time! How nice!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Two years in a row I have had trouble entering the Limited Partnership K-1. Error this year questioned "Other Deductions". Directions from IRS say they need to be entered on Form 8990 which is unavailable this year. Return was accepted. Last year, 2017, I had to print forms and mail as the software would not accept my return as entered from K-1
