Worked fine until I tried importing 1099-R. Had redo taxes twice
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been a customer for more than 20 years. I'm a fan of this software, but I wonder if I'm getting the Maximum refund.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I've used this for years and it has met my needs and saved me a lot of money being able to do the taxes myself. I love the audit support and the help section when I get stuck on something. There are 4 choices for every circumstance and I think I've just at least 3 of them over the years as my needs have changed. This year I was stuck on Form 8379 Injured Spouse Claim Form and H&R told me exactly where to find the answer to my questions. Thanks Block!

Easy to use software and does taxes accurately

I am using HR&BLOCK software for many years. It is easy to use, great tax advice and support. Recently I need to fill up form 1116 - Foreign Taxes paid form. But if I use that form then I am not able to efile taxes. Developer has not enhanced this feature for so many years and that cause me headache to loose money on foreign taxes paid since I hate to file manually.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

The software could not handle the Trust K-1 entries for Section 199A dividends nor the Form 1116 Foreign Tax Credit without having to enter overrides that prevented e-filing. These entries are expected to be needed in the future, so I will be looking for a software alternative that will allow e-filing.

I used TurboTax for years until they dramatically increased their price with no apparent increase in features. When I switched to H&R Block, I found your features to be every bit as functional at more than half the cost. You've now had me as a satisfied customer for several years. Unless you dramatically change your cost structure, you will have me as a customer for life!
