2018 H&R BlocK software

I attended H&B school in Augusta, Ga. in 1998 and have use this software now for 22 years.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Great Product

I bought this tax software a few days ago and loaded it onto my computer with the CD. The installation was quick and simple. I made sure to check for updates as soon as it was installed and received the updates very fast as well. Once I made sure I had the latest updated version I was able to follow the interview questions pretty easy and complete my return rather quickly. I bought the Deluxe 2018 version because I had stock trades, the sale of a home, and a rollover of an IRA to report. The H&R Block tax software enabled me to complete my Federal return with no problems. I was able to e-file my return and have it accepted by the IRS with no problems. I would definitely recommend this tax software to anyone wanting an easy, intuitive way to file their tax return.

ROTH IRA rollover puzzle. Do not buy.

Program does not cover rollovers from a Roth IRA to a Roth IRA. Spent hours with IRS to clarify and work way thru this software puzzle.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Low Price, Efficient to Use

This is my second year to use H&R Block Deluxe 2018 Software; it's easy to install, efficient to use, and less costly than the software I previously used.

I have been using H & R Block Tax Software for years. I find it easy to use and feel confident in E- filing my taxes with it. It has a check near the end to show you if there are any mistakes, I like that!

Intuitive & understandable

Only a few fuzzy areas, & it's IRS fault, not this software. I like this better than TurboTax. Also reassuring to know I can pay and go see a human if necessary.

Problems

Overall H&R Block has been very good and we have used it a number of years. But this year and last year we have been forced to mail our state return because when trying to e-file it, Minnesota did not like something about the Federal 1099-R for Department of Defense - retired military. But everything state said we had to update was already there. Not happy
Pros: Easy to prepare
