easy to use

I loved the program. It was so easy to use. the only recommendation I would make would be put the changes in the tax law on the very first page, so tax filers don't spend unnecessary time tabulating expenses that are ineligible to be deducted.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

many problems this year!

The software is usually easy to follow, but I had several problems with it this year. First, I couldn't get it loaded on my computer. Then I couldn't get the update to download until after I talked to someone from Microsoft. Then I had trouble downloading the state form and getting the email to download it. Then I had trouble filing my federal tax forms. I finally was able to talk to a person at HR Block who was able to help me. I don't think I will use this software next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only problem was that this year and last year I was told that I needed to explain to the State where my non-taxable income came from. I don't have any non-taxable income.

Makes my complicated taxes simpler

I started using this software after we invested in 2 limited partnerships that send K-1 forms for our taxes. This made life very difficult at tax time! Using TaxCut H&R Block software simplified everything for these forms & they carry over previous year information for the K-1s as well as other information (income & deduction sources, names & addresses, etc.) so we just fill in the numbers & let the program do the calculations & fill in whatever multitude of forms need to be filed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

The software was easy to download, access, and easy to follow in leading me through the processes necessary to file my federal return in a timely and efficient manner.
