Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

It does the simple stuff well, but my wife worked abroad for half of 2018 then moved to a separate state for the rest of 2018, and it was hard/impossible with this software to check if we'd save more money filing jointly or separately
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Effective tax preparation tool

I took a long time in preparing my return using this SW product. I was unable to persist with tax preparations because I was involved with pressing household matters. Each time I returned to this program, I found it easy to pick up where I left off. And when I neared completion of the task, rerunning the program audit feature uncovered unresolved questions concerning data details that might have prevented acceptance by the IRS. Not long after I submitted my e-filing to the IRS via Block, it was accepted by the government. I expect a full refund soon. If so, I'll begin planning next year's taxes, perhaps using the tools in this product. It's easy to do "What-if" analyses to minimize tax liability using this program.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Really great experience - great software

Although I had to pay duh Govment, this software made the experience much easier. Took lees than two hours and now I can enjoy my weekend (poorer but glad it's done)!

Very straightforward to use. Just answer the questions. Logically laid out so I know where I am in the process. Imported my data from last year. I input all my forms. Made state taxes a snap. Easy to efile and direct deposit. Used this program for years. Never had a problem with the IRS.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

It is a great program with one drawback that developed with this year's edition. I have used H&R Block tax software for many years and before could always print out individual pages of my 1040 return. This year you don't have that option either all or none. Not a huge deal but frustrating! Otherwise very happy with it.
