Poor modification on 1040X

According to the IRS a person can summit more than one 1040X, your software will not allow this. Software should be modify to accept more than one 1040X with the same ssn, but your will not allow.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H&R Block versions depending on my need, and previously taxcut, have worked well for me for around 20 years. No hidden extra fees and hope it stays that way

I used this before for a long time until the rating on Amazon dropped. I then switched to TurboTax. However, this year, TurboTax required a new operating system (my MacBook is old now). So I switch back to H&R Block Deluxe. It was overall OK and familiar. However, two things happened towards the end and after return.
1. It did not print out four quarterly coupons for paying 2026 estimated taxes, and did not an estimated tax for 2026;
2. I clicked refund by a paycheck mailing, but it somehow turned into Direct Deposit. Now, IRS is asking me to provide my bank account information, the last thing I want to do.

Coming from TurboTax for 20 years H & R was not terribly difficult, however a serious fatal flaw, two actually.
One) importing of documents from financial company packages. Your software prompts for multiple importing, and each time accumulates those and piles are on top of each other so end up with triple of everything triple income triple withholding triple everything. This is very very poorly executed
Two) the way your software handles RMD is confusing and seemingly inaccurate
Three) when there are errors or penalties your software does not explain why
Four) there is not a side-by-side analysis with previous years such as TurboTax offers that helps you know if you’re doing this year accurately and things are lining up upright.

Intuits corporate decisions are abysmal and will not be going back to them. Questionable if HR is the right replacement choice though

I was not happy with the way updates had to be done. I had to try several times to download the updates successfully. Don't remember having such problems in previous years using the software. Also, got a note saying I didn't owe a underpayment penalty and then it asked if I wanted to calculate my underpayment penalty! Not very consistent with the messages and the calculations.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
