There always seems to be a new twist that takes some time to work though. But reasonably easy to work through.

Generally liked it. Wish it was easier to find where to go to fix something without going through the whole return. I wanted to correct the amount to apply to next year and couldn't find where to do it except to go through the whole state program. Also appeared to transpose 2 corrections. I don't know what I did but finally got the 2 amounts on the correct line.

This is good software that does what I expected it to do. Note that there are things that could be improved. For instance:
The software checks to see if we made at least the required minimum distribution (RMD)from an IRA. But it requires me to figure out what the required minimum distribution is! It does tell me what IRS document has the instructions for figuring this out. So I could figure it out (and I did). But the software could ask for the information needed to determine the RMD and tell me what the RMD is.
Note that the process of determining the RMD is not easy. If the H&R Block software could calculate the RMD, this would be a valuable feature in the product.

Software ok but online payment failed 4 times

After entering alot of info, the payment system is failing. Very frustrating. Maybe forced to mail a PAPER check to the IRS...
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H&R Block Deluxe Software always does the job

I have used H&R Block Deluxe Software every year since 2004. It has always worked very well for me, without a hitch. Excellent tax software!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have used Turbo Tax for years. The cost continued to increase and I think it could be confusing. I decided to give H&R Block a try, especially when I found out their software would import my previous year's tax information from Turbo Tax. I found it to be more user friendly and more straightforward than Turbo Tax.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!
