e-filing failed

e-filing failed even though I'd used the same software last year. Reason: last year's AGI did not match what I reported -- even though it was pulled from the same software/files.
I ended up mailing in both federal and state returns.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Almost Perfect

This continues to be the best software (based on my conversations with friends who use Turbotax) for individual preparation of tax returns. Among improvements, I found that forcing me to enter itemized deductions, when I knew the standard deduction was called for, wasted my time. I was in the same loop when I was forced to answer questions for a local tax return. Municipalities in our area require that we use their tax preparation service provider. Easy to navigate and regular visible updates of the current state of refund or amount due!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

So, my state came back - rejected so I went through the process again, paid again to file but I think I may have filed my Fed twice? Is that possible or does the second submission get rejected?
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I've used HR Block Software for years. Best Value, best software. I used Turdbowl Tax once, and never again.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Great 2018 Product & Live Person Customer Support

I have been using H&R Block software for the past four tax filing seasons and I am so happy I did! The SW has been a huge blessing when it came to federal filing and at several times, having "'multiple state returns" to file during "a" filing season. The on-call customer support personnel have been extremely helpful and quite professional. I know haven't tried other tax preparation SW, but I can't seen myself leaving H&R Block as thus far, they've been truly awesome!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

It was very frustrating to input all your info to e told we can't deduct this item this year due to tax changes
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
