I have used Turbo Tax for years. Switched this year and prefer the structure of the interview process. I encountered a problem with a Capital Gains and Loss worksheet and the script suggested I go somewhere for advice. I could not find the advice screen(s) suggested. Search wouldn't work to find it. Ammyoing.
We had a e-file glitch - got an error that there was an inconsistency because we had two seller financed mortages, which we did not. I deleted our home equity loan, and then re-entered, and the problem went away. I also had printing problems to a pdf file, which eventually resolved after multiple trials. It seemed necessary to specify black and white in the printer settings.
You can file online for free if your income is less then $66,000 and in my state you file online for free, so I bought something I didn't need and they charged me a "conveince" fee to file online.
I have been using H&R Block tax software for many years. I hav never had an issue and never any questions from the IRS. I will continue to use H&R software.
