The software works but is not as easy to use as TurboTax. One big omission is the instructions for the forms. The forms are there but not the instructions, in case I need to check something. The main reason I switched is that I did not want to be forced by TurboTax to upgrade to Windows 11, and the cost keeps going up. I appreciated the lower cost and wider compatibility of HR Block.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You were showing a state tax refund the whole time and near the end you removed it w/o me making any adjustments to necessitate that.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Helpful software to complete a rather painful proc

I have been using H&R Block tax software for over 10 years. My familiarity with the program makes it easier to prepare my rather complicated tax situation. This time, there was a small glitch due to a discrepancy in the 2024 AGI and was initially rejected by the IRS. Going back over my records, I was able to locate an alternative AGI in my 2024 filing, and once entered, our 2025 1040-SR was accepted.
