Fed works ok. Importing of W2s was not accurate. I had a lot of corrections. A major issue with the state is that it lacks a ton of forms needed and you have to end up filing on paper. My program also would crash if you tried to go directly to file state and not go through all the monotonous click screens. lastly, I bought WV but the extension kept coming up as NY...
Pros: Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
Disappointing for the following reasons: First, The product code I received after downloading the program for the one free Federal tax filing did not work, keep your $9, I am sure a billion$ company like H&R Block can use it more than I can.. Second, The explanations/descriptions for more information throughout the program are extremely basic and provide little useful information. Third, I don't know if the program maximized my return because the explanations of alternatives were weak.
the 2018 Tax Year version of HR Block Deluxe was disappointing. There were several places that it asked for information that was no longer relevant under the 2017 TCJA. Also, I was unable to edit the property tax form in my Michigan return to add healthcare premiums as a subtraction from household income. The interview process never asked about it. I've been using HRB At Home software for 15 years, and it seemed this year's product wasn't nearly as polished and didn't provide the guidance that I am accustomed to.
