I have always used HR Block software. This year the software did not carry the information on the Federal return to the State return correctly. Alot of the Federal ID numbers were not carried over correctly and correcting them on the State return was very difficult.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall the program worked well. I am displeased by the fact that I can't import income from my Merrill Accounts. This will probably prevent me from purchasing the product in the future.

I know taxes are complicated and even the IRS can't get it right. You do a good job of computing tax. You miss on convenience and functionality.
1. Your import feature no longer imports from Bank of America (regualr bank) nor Merrill Lynch. This worked in prior years.
2. Your FTC limitation carryforwards precludes e-filing.
I'm sure there are more problems. These are the two that I encountered that make your product less usable.
Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used H&R Block software since it was Tax Cut. I was disappointed this year with having to wait for you to update your software before I could file my return. I am also disappointed that you can only do a Chat on line instead of talking to a real person.

Have purchased yearly since software was called TaxAct. Turbo Tax addressed employers not including Tips on W2. I had to download W2 correction form and mail-in taxes this year. Besides paying for unusable E-file I'm left debating on next year's choice.
