Works every time!

This is our fifth year of using H&R Block software for our family returns. It has been a good experience. This year, with all the tax changes, it was more of a challenge. There were a few kinks that need to be fixed. It also would be nice to click on a cell and see what makes up that total.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use and great review edits. Tried Turbo Tax 1 year, but went back to Tax Cut, which was easily transitioned.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Missing some logic

The status for owed vs refund was not always correct. The page where you could apply part of the refund to next year's withholdings did not show correct values if the return updated to new values. Finally, I had to find and manually enter HSA contributions using Form 8889. I hope it was complete as I did not find the form to report distributions from the HSA.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use H&R Premium every year because it covers all my requirements and is absolutely the simplest and most thorough way to go.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Logical and easy data entry

I have used this software for several years and it has always been easy, logical to use (not all tax software makes logical sense to me). This software makes sense as to how it enters the data with lots of instructions available if needed. it makes sure that you enter all of the information to document the return.
The only complaint i have is that the screen does not allow me to enlarge it. The gray fonts are difficult for my older eyes to read. other programs i enlarge so that they better fill my very large monitor. this does not allow me to do that.
