The fact that I could still use my Windows 10 computer combined with its easy import of my previous tax info from Turbo Tax, made this a rewarding experience. I will use H&R Block software going forward

I bought the software in January so we have gone through a few updates. The update in early March introduced a bug that the program would not open my tax file. When I had a chat with your folks, the recommendation was to to either wait for another update or restart my return. Since I was 90% done with my return I decided to wait. After installing the mid March update, the program was able to open my return and I was in the process of electronic filing where the program asked me to update the Virginia part of the program. I agreed, and somehow the program locked up and I could not open the return. Finally the end of March update of both Federal and State worked fine and I filed my return

Cons: Hard to prepare

Have used you for years. Has been simple, quick, easy to use in past.
Changed some however this year. Not as easy to follow. Some things missing, spent time trying to find things
or even understand some.

The software was glitchy a few times as I was using it. The first was that as I was importing tax documents, the whole program closed itself multiple times. The second was that I had trouble importing tax documents from one site consistently where it kept timing out (unclear if that was a server issue on HR Block's end or the bank's end). Didn't give me a lot of confidence, but ultimately made it through okay. I also didn't like that I had to manually click into every single transaction to manually verify the imported details -- I get why they make the user verify, but clicking through 500 transactions individually to verify complex details is insane. Should just let me say I verify all of them all at once per bank.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R block tax software for years. I like it's consistent interface, and I have no serious issues with it. The install and upgrade process is pretty seamless. The only issue - sometimes the state module seems a little rough and not integrated.
