Have found this software very easy to use and to file taxes. I have used Turbo Tax for many, many years, but when they stopped it from being used on Windows 10, I changed to H&R and I was glad I did.

The software is generally good. However, I spent time trying to correct an "error" but I did not understand the problem. The next day there was an update and the problem disappeared.

I worked for hours trying to complete form 5329 and after my efile 1040 was rejected multiple times I deleted form 5329 and filed a printed copy. Only then was my efile 1040 accepted. I had to reply on google search and you tube videos to identify the problem. That is where I learned of the RC reasonable cause for line 54.

I wish I had used HR Block Software for return much earlier. I used to use TuboTax, Last year there was a glitch related to State e-filing, and I end up paper filing it. I switched to use HR Block. It was easy to use, more flexible, plus lower cost.

Software works well, but serious room for improvement concerning the import of tax info from financial institutions. For example, Chase Bank doesn't allow H&R Block to download directly, but if H&R Block used the *.csv or .pdf files to drag-and-drop, then it would eliminate this strong irritation. Think about how much time it would save on your end, the consumer end, and the financial institution end..a win-win. I noted the Online version does allow you to drop in a pdf file, so why not the desktop version???
