I've used this product for years and it worked great. This year became complicated when I got ready to print and file - directions were terrible.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is about the 25th year of using Block software to prepare my taxes. Overall, I keep coming back, so it can't be too bad. This year, the hiccup was with the residential energy credit. Instructions say I can claim credit for gas or oil high efficiency products, but there is nowhere to make entries. Long story; after 4 phone call to HRB, I learned that there will be an update mid-February that will cover that. That would have been good info to have when I installed the software and checked for updates.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Glitchy, had to call to get reinstalled. Free state program wouldn't load and had to be sent manually.

Great product but you do have to know what you are doing when it comes to taxes. You can’t blindly accept and assume the software knows all your individual needs and exceptions.
