Review process was confusing. It had incomplete explanation of how to clear a Federal income source that did not have a state ID. There has to be a rule and H & R should know it.

Ultimately, the software did its job, though it was not without its complications—mostly related to how foreign tax on investment income was calculated. First, there was an issue in performing that function, which required me to wait nearly a week for the next software update in order to continue with my return. (Taxus interruptus.) Second, after updating, it was still unduly hard to get the figures to balance out. TurboTax, which I've used in the past, seems to do a better job with foreign taxes—where it's calculated for you. So, next year, I may opt to spend more and go back to your competitor to complete my returns.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
