I’ve been using HR Block tax SW for a long time, but tried turbo tax a couple of years ago and then went back to HRB after getting hit with a ton of costs from TT. Both apps work about the same, but I like the interface and experience with HRB better, and the cost is a lot better
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

This is the second year this problem showed up. The Program ask's 3 time for a SSN # for any person DECEASE during the filing year. I left all 3 entry points (no one died) blank. During accuracy check, all 3 were flagged as a problem for being blank.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought the Deluxe program. The price is very high. The program itself is very easy but all the added costs are ridiculous.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Bought the software later than earlier so I paid much more for the software this year than I did last year. Apparently, the earlier you purchase the software, the better the price. I didn't know this so I'm sharing that information. Buy it in December, not the following April. The software is very friendly user and it's really hard to mess things up. Just follow each sections and complete what applies.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
