I have been satisfied with this tax program for many years; in fact, I have used it when it was called PC Tax Cut. Not a problem ever.

The software eventually performed. But much anxiety was experienced along the way. After inputting numerous statements and attempting to file, the software would not load the file because "1 is not valid." That error message continued to be received even after starting a new return and reinputting all statements. After an update, the software worked as expected.
Along the way, support was less-than-helpful. One agent ended the online chat without responding to questions. Others indicated that the problem was known but there was no date for when the issue would be resolved. HRBlock's communication was pretty awful.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mac users steer clear I this year. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had doing taxes. Software changes box 1 on first 1099R form when inputting multiple. Section pertaining to marketplace insurance gave different results depending on the order in which the 1095A forms were entered. Software then recommends going to a brick and mortar office. When doing my adult daughter’s return the program changes the first dependents name to the second dependents name, also wanted 1099R information when there is none. After all of these issues it double charged for her state e-file fee because software decided it needed to update while getting ready to transmit return. Not worth the discounted Black Friday price.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
