The Federal program does not calculate the taxable and non-taxable pension amounts correctly. The taxable amount is on line 4d. For a Federal pension under the CSRS, non-taxable income is spread over the years after retirement. The total of the non-taxable income must equal the amount an employee puts in the retirement program. The total contribution that an employee put in the CSRS retirement program is shown in box 9b of the Form 1099R ($116,938). I was able to to get the worksheet to give the right number so that the taxable income and the total pension are the same.
1. When print, part of the page on the right side is cutoff. 2. At early start, there was a W2 Form that the numbers didn’t correspond to the W2 Statement numbers.
