always room for improvemnt

works well for the most part. however some of the 1099s can't be read in electronically so i would like this software to be able to read data from PDFs

Good product - i did encounter a bug

I've been a repeat customer for many years. I do find your product easy to use and plan to use it for the foreseeable future.
I would like to report a bug though.
When "importing from financial institutions", specifically the NetXinvestor (Pershing), the import failed. I spoke with an advisor there and they told me that others had the same issue, they had no solution and was told that I should consider using different software. They offered to reimburse me for the purchase of your software to buy a competitors. I did find a workaround and told them how i got it to work so they might be able to share that info.
Here is the setup:
I use strong passwords. I changed my password and removed the special chars. This worked. I believe my password had a # or ! in it and it seems your software wont pass the special chars in the password (a guess...). It would be nice if you could send the strong password, but I think a hint to try changing passwords if using strong passwords in the error msg might be an easy band-aid. Please consider this.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS SAME HR BLOCK PROGARM FOR MANY YEARS.FOR MY FEDERAL AND CA STATE TAXES. YOUR CHARGES TO FILE THE CA STATE ONLINE (ELECTRONICALLY) IS EXCESSIVE, THE COST IS AS MUCH AS THE HR DELUXE SOFTWARE COST ON SALE. YOUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THE STATE ONLINE FILLING.
THERE IS NO SOFTEARE PROVISION TO DETERMINE IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO FILE FEDERAL AND STATE RETURNS.

Generally excellent but still with a significant flaw, just like the 2024 tax programs -- DUPES USER INTO CREATING AN IRS PIN, AND HIDING THE REAL LOCATION ELSEWHERE IN THE PROGRAM. This delayed both acceptance of my Federal & state, two years running. How hard could it be to fix a simple entry that causes your returns to be rejected?
