HR Block failed me for 2024

I filed my taxes, federal and state. Was supposed to get refunds on both. Program said it was all good, all accurate. Federal was fine. Never got my state refund. Never heard from the state. When I inquired, I now owe the state! I sent the payment, never received any letter, notice or anything. Something HR Block did inmy return, the state didn't like. I used HR Block for 2025, it was a nightmare, I don't trust them, so I'll probably switch next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can’t imagine doing my taxes without H&R Block pro

I think it’s my 9th year doing taxes with H&R Block program. The pre populated fields and keeping track of last year’s info saves so much time. And the accuracy that goes with that is much appreciated. It seems like I open each years new version and I’m 40% done when I start!

Errors in your form during review that are not really errors. If you didn’t do schedule C should not say that there is an error. Also if you live in Assisted Living you CAN claim renters rebate if place you live pays property taxes.
Cons: Hard to prepare

The Federal return has been processed and the return made. The state return is on hold, had to resubmit identical information and waiting to hear back from the State of New Mexico
