Very frustrated. I followed the program, saved return. But when I attempted to returnto saved return,I was blocked. Message said: "2 is not valid. Please use letters only." I was told to update program, which I did. I used the file name the program recommended. Neither chat nor live help solved tghe problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used a computer-installed version of H&R Block (or TaxCut) for over 20 years and recommended it to my sister this year. This is the first time I have had this problem. I downloaded my 1099 composite statements. In the 1099-B portion of the interview (Sale of Stocks, Bonds, ...), the roll-up of long-term and short-term for one of the 1099-Bs incorrectly displays the value(s) from one of the other 1099-Bs. The same occurred in the details for some of the stock sales - when I selected Edit for a stock, it shows the values for a different stock. This required me to do a lot of out-of-program work to verify that the actual forms were filled correctly. I had a conversation with my sister who also experienced the 1099-B roll-up displaying the results of a different 1099-B. She uses a Mac; I use Windows 11.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I experienced difficulties on loading the program. I had to put it on my iPhone and then send it to my tablet. Also, my attempts to load it were counted as loaded and I got a message saying that I didn’t have any more emails situations.
Cons: Hard to import documents

Illinois e-file return free of charge

It would be nice if we would have the Illinois e-file return free of charge, just like the Federal return is. Everything is online and you can't trust the USPS.
