I have used H&R tax cuts now H&R tax block for over 30 years. This year there was problems with the program downloading as the progress windows and the initializing Windows would close before completion. After that it was peachy.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Software works good for most things but has limits

Most areas of filing you are walked through each step. I prefer to remain offline while entering my personal information and that is challenging. I prefer to double side the printed results, and the included printing software makes that challenging, but I found that your PDF driver gives me something that I can reprint a single page if needed. I spent quite a bit of $ on fire mitigation this year and new I could reduce my Colorado taxes with those expenses. However, your Colorado software was not helpful in walking me through that process.

Used HR Block and formerly Tax Cut software for more than 25 years, this is the first year the tax software had issue that I could not resolve without out phone support. The phone support, once I was able to talk to a person rather than AI was excellent. Resolved issue and able to submit Fed and State taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Filing both federal and state tax returns is easy to do with the H&R Block software .

Have used H&R for years. This year was a disaster. The program required an update to efile. After paying the cc charge and doing the update, it locked my return and I couldn't open it. Worked with your tech folks and it got erased. I had to re do my taxes and this happened twice. Finally after 2 more weeks and updates, I was able to reload the last return I did and saved with a thumbdrive. Sent it. I completed the return on both my desktop and laptop with the same problems.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have bought this since the 1990s. Always enjoy using the program, BUT find it is becoming too expensive for me as on social security only. Also don't like that it changed to automatic yearly!
