I was happy with the way the program asked for information, it made it easy to follow. There were a few issues I had the first was the auto-save didn't really work, I had to manually select "Save" several times to ensure my information was saved, 2) was when I de-selected a couple of the pre-selected options the program crashed and in order to move forward I had to leave them selected and make sure all entries were either blank or zero for those options. Lastly, when I submitted my return for e-file the program wouldn't let me go pass the "Check Status" option even though my status was "pending", had to hard close (i.e. hard quit) the program to get out of it.
I used H & R Block last year for the first time. I had issues submitting my taxes. I just finished my 2019 last week and submitted them. My federal was rejected. It told me what I needed to do to correct it. I did it and resubmit my taxes again. Got rejected again. I did what it said again. Got rejected again. Ultimately after a week and several attempts to file when I finally had everything correct, I got a message from H & R Block telling me I reached my limit for times to file with the free file. I had to pay to submit it even though I never had it filed. I will not be using them again.
