Been using it for several years. Pretty easy to use. Has all the forms most people will need to file. Transferring data from last years federal return and to state tax forms saves a lot of time. My only gripes are the extra fee charged for e-filing my state return (my state does not charge a fee if you go straight to the states website), plus difficulties importing files from some of the financial institutions that I use.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used H&R Block tax software for decades and this year it failed me. I spent 2 days attempting to efile with DIFFERENT reasons for being "declined" by the IRS. As soon as I took care of the issue the software stated was the problem, it changed to another issue.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought desktop version, Deluxe with State.
1. They fixed the limit on F8938. That's great!
2. They created a problem that the refund is not shown in real time. It won't calculate immediately when you make change to your tax return
3. On Windows 11, the desktop software will NOT connect to their own server to update the software. I need to try it multiple times before it connects. According to search engine, it's a problem that persists since release of Windows 11. Yes, it's specific to Windows 11. However, it should have been fixed before releasing the software in 2026 for 2025 tax year.

It was easy and accurate. The information from 1099's was transferred accurately. Information from last year's taxes was transferred automatically. My only complaint is your outrageously high charge for electronic state filing.

Both my wife's IRA are at the sane brokerage company, but I had to import her information separately; however the program duplicated all of the joint information, thus casing me to find all of the duplications and delete them. Also, we both received 1099-R and unchecked the box but it still took us through the interview process.
