Love this software

I don't know how many years I have been using H&R Block software - 15 at least. Obviously I love it. What I probably like most about it is the helpful questions and explanations along the way. I feel very comfortable that my taxes are completed properly. I have used different versions along the way from Basic to the Premium with business and state and have been extremely happy with them all.

Product work as it has worked for the past decade. The biggest problems are that some questions are hard to understand. Another problem was that the app got into a loop on data verification where I was unclear on what was missing from a downloaded form 1099. The app needs to say it wants a taxpayer id.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Purchased, installed, and the program crashed when my taxes were nearly completed. I went to a save version and tried to install but received an error message. Called support. They said I had to redo my taxes from the start after installing latest update, which I had already done. Support suggested I reinstall the program. Tried that. Program crashed 3 more times, always near end, about the time to file. I updated one more time, started from the beginning without doing automatic imports from TurboTax or and downloadable forms. This time I saved the files at every new topic, closed the program, and opened the last saved file to ensure integrity. I think I did 8-9 saves, plus the PDF's. Finally went got them completed and filed. I've never had any issues with Turbo Tax and I'm sorry I changed.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
