Takes you through the tax process quite easily, and is straight forward.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I've used H&R Block tax software for about 22 years (at first it was called TaxCut). It's great. The program "interviews" you, asks all the right questions, prompts you to fill in the appropriate information, recommends the best choices, allows you to skip irrelevant stuff, and even audits your return for errors or questionable entries. Our taxes are fairly complex and I do them every year in an afternoon (after preparing documents and printing reports from Quicken).
Pros: Easy to prepare

Don't file your tax return without it!

I earned an accounting degree in 1987, but I would NEVER file my return without using this software. I have used this H&R Block software for years and years, and I am confident that the program will guide me with clear to understand questions and explanations. The price is very fair and I can always choose from a variety of programs which cover more complicated returns if I need to. And I love how I get 5 free electronic filings so I can share this program's use with my relatives.
