The software does an excellent job. Automatically downloads most of my data, reducing manual entry. The process is logical but sometimes has additional items that could be covered with fewer click throughs.It should rate 4 or 5 stars.
That said, the interface is horribly out-of-date. It may have been adequate on WinXP and a 12" inch display. The forms don't scale to fill the display and, most important, the type size can't scale. It gets harder to read each year. Don't tell me to scale the display, that screws up the desktops.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terribly frustrating! The “federal form” would not update The software went into an infinite loop. With some online support, we got past that only to go into another infinite loop trying to segue to the state form. That required online support. Once past that, it went into another infinite loop trying to upload the latest federal form before allowing submission of the return. Online support promised a solution in 3-5 working days. That never happened in that time frame. When I finally got an email, it contained instructions to clear the problem on a Windows machine. I have a Mac. I really need to think through whether I want to go thru this nightmare next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
