Pretty satisfied, had trouble with charity donatio

Due to the fact I had donated publicly traded stocks and household goods, the program thinks I exceeded the $5000 form limit and kept dumping me into part B of form 8283 which I did not need to fill out because publicly traded stocks are exempt from the extra info. I could not override the numbers in the form or in the interview.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I've used this software package each of the last 4 years, and have been very pleased with it. The installation process each year is a snap, and my previous years information is easily imported in. I am very comfortable with the interview process for working through the return, and then going back in and fine tuning. In my first year of retirement, the package was especially helpful in ensuring current year issues were smoothly addressed, and offered several planning tools for future years.

All the big stuff on this software is easy to use. The downloads from my brokerage accounts are great. The devil is in the details at times with this product. If the system flags something that must be reviewed, it isn’t readily apparent as to what the issue is that needs correcting/reviewing. Also, when trying to check the origin of a figure entered on a form, it requires some hunt and peck to find the proper worksheet, etc.
Items that are flagged and all figures should have pop up windows that open to explain their origin.

Worked good, same results as another competitor's software although a little more "clunky" to use. MUCH better price than the other guy is what made the difference. Will use again next year.

Been using H&R software for years. It is the easiest way I know how to file my tax return. I also feel confident I am getting the best help and most back on my return.
