State software and filing are way too expensive.

Overall it works fine. Some parts can be improved, e.g., HSA limit split among a couple should be calculated automatically to avoid misunderstandings and mistakes. Some data validation checks are redundant and annoying. Additional state software and e-filing are way too expensive. Help can be improved. AI is useless.

I’m a long time user. Disappointed this time with the lack of clear direction or guidance and new tax changes a confusion on audit points that had no details. You missed the mark this year.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

Easy to use, especially for uncomplicated returns

I have used Block for years except one since the mid 90s when I worked for them in Ft. Worth and Tampa. Our return is fairly simple and our refund was received quickly. My husband’s name is first on our return, but I’m the one with tax experience.
