Overall, effort went well. The one complaint I had was visibility on calculations, like why only so much of an amount was tax deductible or taxable. Usually computed in a worksheet, I was unsuccessful in finding the worksheets. This lack of transparency is an undesirable aspect of the program. If the software does allow these calculations to be pulled up, the program fails on an ease of use.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

There was a bug this year that populated boxes from other forms. This made filling out forms more time consuming and required more double checking than should have been.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

The software was not easy to follow regarding the treatment of funds from our brokerage accounts related to those amounts related to rolling over retirement funds in our State return (Michigan). Other than that everything seemed to go well.

There still too many questions that you cant get good answers to even with the AI assistant. A couple of time i have to go on GOOGle to get an answer, and they usually take me to Turbo tax page to get it.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Total nightmare!

Worst experience of my life. After 12 attempts I finally got my federal return submitted, I still have not been able to get my VA return to go through. Been using the software for at least 10 years do I’m familiar with every aspect of the product. HRB software is a “total” failure for 2025. Run the other way!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
