If your taxes are very simple, this product will probably do fine. However, if you have much in the way of unusual situations, or perhaps even a combination of common ones, you're pretty much on your own to figure out how to handle it. For example, if you have a traditional IRA and an inherited Roth IRA, the app makes no distinction between the RMDs for each, which are calculated differently. If you make for example a QCD from the traditional in the amount of its RMD and take the correct RMD from the Roth, things get incredibly confusing AND impossible to track in the forms and supporting worksheets. It would be really nice if you could enter multiple IRAs with different constraints and address each on on its own, the way the IRS does. Having a way to jump between the interview and where that data is used (forms and/or worksheets both) would be a huge help.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

no No Merrill Lynch import - a requirement for me.

Program is good, but you took Merrill Lynch off the financial institution import list. This cost me a lot of time. Until I know you have added it back, I will use a different tax program that supports importing account information from Msrrill.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Been using TurboTax for years, first time using H&R Block. I like it, no fluff, to the point, easy to use. Only complaint, why is the font so small??? Zooming in cuts off buttons. 50% of my screen were not being use. For older ppl this is a problem.

Updates&state software install is broken on Mac

For at least the last two years your update for the tax software and the install of state software plus updates is broken on Mac OSX. The update will download but never execute just goes back to update available.
When you try to install your included one state software it again goes through the motions to download it but never installs and when you try again it asks for a credit card instead.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
