I have used TaxCut Deluxe software for many years and found it to be very helpful. I especially appreciate the ability to import financial data from my financial advisor.
My one suggestion is to streamline the data entry. This could be done by entering the data from the 12 +/_ forms I receive and then complete the interview, if I choose.

The software is good until you need to print. I have to delete my printer, save the print file as a pdf, open the pdf in another program, reinstall my printer and print. What a pain in the neck. Fix your program. This has been going on for at least 3 years!!!!!

Two years in a row the software did not work correctly so that I had to print and mail in my state return just to be able to file.

The software was not easy to navigate through. Also, after I completed the Fed and State returns there were error messages which did not have any explanation on why or how to fix them. I had to redo the forms over and over again. I was never able to fix the state return, so I had mail it in. Having to mail my state return defeats the purpose of buying online software. Last but not least, you do not have an 800 number to speak to a live person. Shame on You! ----- I deserve a complete refund!!!

I have been using the H&R block tax software for many years, and it has made tax preparation so much easier. This year's return was one of the most challenging I've done because I had several financial events that I dealt with for the first time including Required Minimum Distributions, Qualified Charitable Contributions and Roth Conversions. I recommend that more information about these activities, especially QCDs, be added to the program in the future.
