return from IRS was $700.00 off from what mt forms said not sure what happened could have been an E filing error not sure how to handle this but at this point i will not use this again to do taxes

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Time to try a different program

I've used H&R Block tax prep software for many years (with an occasional stray toward TurboTax) but after this year, I think it's time to bag it. There are multiple glitches in the software including the 1099-B implementation (conflict with form 8495) and I spent hours in queues and chat modes trying to make it work. It is missing many state forms (including Arizona charitable credit forms) which means it can't be used for state e-filing. It crashes periodically and overall, just plain unsatisfying. The interviews are lackluster and cursory at best which leaves lots of opportunity for omissions. The questions and tax code explanations are often poor requiring visits to the IRS website to get dependable guidance. Bottom line - if you have investments or other significant tax factors, walk away.

Survey link unusable. Software asks for verification values from an itemized deduction return, but last year Block return did not itemize deductions.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
