I am on auto delivery. Have used Block tax software for 20 years, and have never had a problem. The software is very easy to use, being able to import from my broker is a definite plus.

The Federal software was as easy & as understandable as what I remember from last year. However, the state portion (New York) had a problem that has taken me many, many days to fix. I accidentally entered something incorrectly and it took me awhile to realize what it was. But what was worse I had to comb through several pages multiple times to find it. When I found it, I removed it but the software kept putting it back. The only way to fix it - I discovered finally - was to leave it in but enter a "zero" for its value. I still haven't filed our state taxes as I need to check everything one more time to make sure the software hasn't put the item back. It was extremely frustrating.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I whould give 0 stars it I knew it was a choice. My federal efile was rejected 3 times. I completed surveys, and asked for help, when ai help failed me, and none was offered. To top it off, I was charged multiple times for state submissions when I had been advised the efile was on hold. How would you feel?

The program refused to update and was not as clear as before. Had to file Pennsylvania taxes on paper because the program did not look back to include the required information that was answered in the federal section. Seems to have become cluttered.

It was a good product until I ran into a problem

THERE IS A GLITCH IN THE 1099-R Form concerning the PAYER'S TIN that caused me several hours work to figure out. The software insisted on putting a hyphen after the first two numbers. This caused the IRS to reject my tax return because the PAYER'S TIN did not match because of the hyphen. I am still struggling to fix this problem.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
