Overall the SW was great. Unfortunately I had a problem with a multi-year income. It was extremely difficult to enter it. I was directed to a IRS document and after filling out all the forms the result was no different to the one that came up in the SW.

Works fine but the interface is straight out of the '90s. Time for a visual refresh. Also, parts of the interview require you to really understand the tax laws and aren't well explained. It's ok assuming you are experienced with taxes but for a newbie may be challenging.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare

I didn’t like having to finish state before federal was finished. Also it took numerous error reviews before catching my wife’s pension payments were from a state retirement and adjusted. Why not ask if it government income(state) in interview.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Year after year you make it easy to convert last year's return ready for this year. I wish you had the MO function to handle property tax as a state deduction. It is a real pain to print all forms from Fed and State, then prepare the manual Missouri form, then make two copies, one to file and one for my records. Guess it works out because I don't have to pay for filing state electronically.
