Consistent software needing better instructions

I have been using HR Block tax software for over a decade. In general its easy to use and doesnt change much from year to year. I have never had a question from the IRS on anything I have filed. The last couple of years, i have run into several issues that i didnt see before. This year it asked for my wife's AGI from 2024 joint return along with mine as a check. This information was never requested before, and the instructions didnt address it. I took a chance and it worked. Clear instructions would help. I also ran into a roadblock on how to handle a HSA excess distribution, ended up using AI to find out how to enter, because the instructiosn and help feature couldnt assist.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming

Missing Form 8911 for 2 years in a row (at least)!

I have been using for years, but disappointed that did not include Form 8911 for taking the tax credit for my EV charger installation. I will need to switch to TurboTax next year unless this changes.

Great Software - Much Much Better than Expected

I bought HRB this year because I had finally grown weary of your major competitor's refusal to launch their product on anything but Windows 11. And I'm glad I did! If you have used the other major tax software in the past, HRB will seem very "at home". The interfaces are similar. My only complaint (and maybe it's my fault) is that HRB did not explicitly ask about IRA RMD's and how much of the RMD is non-taxable. Again, perhaps I missed it, but I had to go in and enter the non-taxable info myself. HRB imported the competitor's return from the previous year flawlessly. I am really happy with HRB software and will definitely use it in the coming years.
