Good program except correct errors before E-File.

To H&R Block everything worked ok, until correct errors before E-File. I tried to correct errors, but without any help from program it is very hard. I believe the problem occurred when I deleted file for itemized deductions.My refund went from Federal $1266, State $239 to zero on both.I had to completely refile the tax program. I have never itemizec any year. Also, AI Assistance didn't work, it tried to download a Goole AI file plus other programs I don't need or want..I downloaded my file from last year, H&R Block saved program.I have used H&R Block fpr several years and never itemized. H&R Block should know that from preveious years files. Also every year I have the same problem when correcting errors before E-File, there has to be a fix for this problem. I also think H&R Block should have a built in AI program with out downloading anything. Same trouble every year.Don

I am disappointed that you didn't update us on the slow NY State Refunds. I took over six weeks to receive the refund and there was no communication on the status or the reason for the delays.

I have used HR Block for my taxes for the last 10 years. In previous years I was able to import my tax info from merrill lynch and this year there was no drop down to select that so I had to put all that stuff in manually.
If this is not fixed for next year I will be switching to turbo tax.

Good value, saves a lot of time, would use again

Worked well overall, with a few manual corrections. Price very good. Very happy with the availability of a download of composite 1099 from broker - saves a lot of manual input. For dividends, it was necessary to review and check the "qualified dividend" box manually (makes a big difference in tax owed.) Capital gains can be a confusing topic, but it worked perfectly. Review results to verify, as the instructions say.

I change from turbo tax years ago, when they falsely claimed their product came with state taxes, it did bit you had to pay a premium to activate it, that was the last time I will ever use their product.

Paid for Deluxe + State, but when I eFiled you charged me to file my Federal return along with the State return. It was a BIG hassle to get a refund for the Federal overcharge.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
