I have used H&R Block software for many years without issues. However while preparing my 2019 taxes, I found that the IRS had amended my 2018 filing. I filed in April 2019 and the report was amended at the end of May. I WAS NOT notified by H&R Block or the IRS of this change which now shows I owe a much larger sum of money than the refund I received.
THEN I had to purchase another service to to be able to speak to a H&R Block tax specialist. I thought this was included in the software.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes doing taxes more enjoyable especially if your getting money back. As you go through the interview you can see how the deductions affect your return. Love the program.

Easy to file your taxes. Add 50% to the price, though, if you want to file your state electronically.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Having to pay for electronic state filing and having to buy a second state program made this incredibly expensive and as a long time user I will be looking at other options next year. Very disappointed in these extra costs.
