I have used the software for years but had an issue this year. It let me electronic file federal but not state and just kept locking up I ended up printing out and mailing state. Online help they were never able to find an answer why.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

The software would not allow me to efile my State (Virginia) return. I had to rpint and mail it in. Previous tax preparation software DID allow me to efile, The message I received when I tried to efile was that Virginia would not accept the adjustments I made to my income because Virginia gave me a Mlitary Retirement allowance,
