I have used H&R Block software for several years and have been very satisfied. This year I had to correct an entry in my Federal return relative to interest. The software would not load the corrected interest amount into my State return. The software continued to say it had downloaded the information from my Federal return, but it had downloaded the original entry, not the corrected information.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have used this product for close to 10 years to prepare my taxes. This year was my last. The last 2 years, I have had difficulty submitting my final returns. At the time I am ready to submit my return, the program tells me that I need to verify some items. The explanation is rather vague as to how I verify these items.
Next, when I try to send in the final return, I receive a message that I need to upgrade my program before submitting my return. It took me 4 try’s to upgrade. Then I was finally able to submit my return.
I charged the filing fee to my Discover card. Later on, I checked out my Discover card statement & found that my filing fee for my return had been submitted 4 times. At this moment, there are 4 charges on my Discover card for the filing of one federal & one state return. I only submitted one return for my federal & state returns. It took me 4 try’s before the one set of returns was accepted, but l’m being charged for 4 returns. Next year I use Turbo Tax.
