My wife got the program toward the last of the year2025. It was easy to use and very helpful.
Our laptop quit working and we had to get another laptop and now we can't get the program to bring up our tax return to finish storing it. Never got to check status because laptop died. And people who set up my new laptop didn't put it in right, I guess

I have used this software for years (since it was TaxCut) with great success. Take standard deduction since retirement. Always got fast refund. Filed 2/1/2026. This year nothing changed wrt inputs, (100% same few documents as last year) but IRS asked to verify my identity (first time ever), which I did, but still has not approved refund.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used H&R Block software for many years. Easy to use and I like that copies from the prior year so it makes input much easier. My Federal and State returns were accepted on the first submission and I got my Federal refund in less than 2 weeks. With all the tax changes due to the One Beautiful Bill, the software worked great.

I bought this program in January as I usually do. I’m satisfied with the interviews it asks to make sure everything is entered. The ONLY issue with this year is that I efilled Nys return on Feb. 1st and I’m still waiting for my refund. Nys issue or program ????
