Program ate my return in progress unable to open file to process state return. Started over and filed federal return but unable to open file to check status or to complete state return. Updated program today and still unable to open either saved return file.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using this tax software for years. It is easy to use and less expensive than Turbo tax. I filed both federal and state taxes online in early February, both refunds were in my checking account 1 week later. I wish the it’s Deductible portion was available all year, as a separate entity vs imbedded in the year end tax software. Since I make multiple non-cash donations during the year, I can not wait until tax time to add values to the donations.

Calculation of CT state income tax is incorrect. Used state website for proper calculation. Second year in a row. Too much trouble to get in touch with you to resolve problem. It relates to deduction for social security.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

What guarantee?Can't use it cuz they won't respond

The automatic updater never works on a mac. The guarantee is apparently a bait and switch since last year the software made a big mistake but I could not get a response when I tried to exercise the guarantee. State filing should also be free or at least no more than the cost of postage.
