Only problem is when IRS reject. State on hold then when ready to file get another charge
Currently have 2 charges waiting to be cleared as I had to mail friends taxes

I bought and paid for the deluxe version ad state. In order to file the state return, there was no apparent option to file electronically but to pay another fee to file. In effect I was charged twice. That is awful! Additionally, I need to file an amended return and there is no apparent way to do this!

Prepared my federal and state returns and submitted them electronically on 2/17/2026 and they were accepted immediately. I received my federal refund to my checking account on 2/20/2026 and state refund on 2/25/2026.Very pleased with the process.

This year was a little different though.
The software missed something with my Oregon state filing. Oregon cut my state refund in half after my filing.
I still received refunds though, as I do every year.

It has always been good in the past, but this year there was a glitch in the software. After I sent the taxes in electronically it showed I owed money but when I sent it in it showed I was getting a refund. a difference of one thousand dollars. It took a while to find but the software kept dropping a deduction for me after completing. I did not owe and the correct version was sent in but I just had to wait it out and see what happened with the state since there was no way I could see to verify what was sent in.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
