Gets the job done

Does a good job of stepping through the interview and collecting data but updates, at least on the Mac, are a joke. They have always been this way. The program says that there are updates so you hit the update button. The update doesn't install. You have to go to their website, spend 5 minutes trying to find the update page, download both federal and state updates, then reinstall. Please fix this. I've been complaining about it for years and nothing is ever done.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

The information from the 2024 return for 1099's had to all be re-entered
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software was intuitive and easy to use. Something happened. It has been over a month and I haven't received my Fed refund. I got a letter from them asking for some additional info, that was 2 weeks ago.
Also, I didn't receive status updates. In the app, my state return is listed as "accepted" but I received the money within a week of filing. I would think the status would say "paid" or "distributed".
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm disappointed with this year's software. I imported financial information from 2 separate firms and for some reason the program mixed the the firms name up and attributed the sales to the wrong firm. Also for one of the firms the long term and short term gains totals were incorrect while the overall sales proceeds were correct. I was able to make the necessary corrections but spent way too much time preparing my return
