Tax refund was 90% lower than last year when we use Turbo Tax. I feel that this software did not pickup our 8 year old tax credit.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ohio School District Income Tax Filers Beware!

Would have liked to have been walked through on the Ohio School District Income tax (IT-100) form that only earned income, and not pensions, is subject to the tax, and how to list exempt pension income the first time through. I had to search this out on my own and file an amended return to get my payment back.
Pros: Fast

Overall, OK and I have been buying it for years. However, sometimes individual items you need can be hard to find. On the other hand, I finally reached a live human who helped me find the one obscure item I needed -- the place to enter a 6 digit PIN rather than a 5 digit PIN from the IRS.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes doing my taxes myself possible. The investments download feature saves me from having a CPA do my taxes. I know everything is in the correct box and everything is included. All the math will be correct as long as the correct numbers are in there. I do go back and verify the numbers. I have useds HR Block for many years and that has helped me keep up with the complex changes of my taxes.

Overall, the Federal side of the tax software was efficient and straightforward.
What I did NOT like was the obvious sexism of the male being the taxpayer and the female being the spouse.
In the future, I hope the software writers use the FIRST NAMES consistently when separate information is needed from those filing Married, filing jointly.
The State side of the software is lacking, difficult to understand and not enough "Learn More" options. My overall rating if I included the State review, I would have given this 3 stars instead of 4.
What I did NOT like was the obvious sexism of the male being the taxpayer and the female being the spouse.
In the future, I hope the software writers use the FIRST NAMES consistently when separate information is needed from those filing Married, filing jointly.
