My primary reason for using H&R Block software this year is that it works with Windows 10. TurboTax doesn't. I don't like the Block package quite as well as TT, but it works and it's cheaper. I was able to import some info from previous TT file, which saved a bit of time. My primary complaints about H&R Block program is that the fonts are too small to read easily, and it is a bit difficult to figure out how to navigate through the program i.e. to return to previous sections or jump ahead. I managed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frustrating, the app UI looks dated and blurry and the instructions hard to follow. In one area you do things one way and in another, a different way. My filing was said to be rejected 4 times by the state but it ended up being an issue on the HR Block side. The wizard gets in the way of itself alot of times and there isn't good ways around it.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
