Great product. Very easy to use, and I have had 0 issues in my 3-4 years of using the software. I really like the new functionality of being able to upload PDFs and/or submit secure photos of certain tax forms to minimize the amount of manual data entry. Would highly recommend!

Easy to fallow step by step guide

I use H R block each year. Transfer past year data and easy guide.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Been Using H&R Block for years

Like the title said, even though there are free versions, there is one thing worth the cost of this and that is the sense of comfort I get. I hit the Efile button and now unless I screwed up, I can feel good it is done. In this day and age of Covid-19 I am glad there something that feels good.

I have not used other programs so I don't have any frame of reference. Have been using for more than 10 years and I am fairly satisfied. Cost of basic program seems fair but charges for additional state and additional filing fees seem excessive especially since the state programs do not allow any overrides. (Example : CT - use of standard deduction vs itemized)

Can be confusing

The federal program automatically transfers info to the state program. In this case NJ does not tax military pensions, yet the program transfers the information anyway, which it should not. Once there, it cant be deleted and causes unnecessary confusion.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!
